About
The Story Behind My Work
I didn’t become a financial coach because money came easily to me.
I came to this work through my own experience of financial stress, relationship strain, and the quiet fear of not fully understanding my own financial picture and what that meant for my children and me, and our sense of security. For a long time, money felt like something happening around me rather than something I was truly part of. I carried a lot of responsibility without clarity, and that uncertainty showed up everywhere — in my stress levels, my relationships, and my sense of safety.
What changed everything wasn’t a stricter budget or more discipline. It was facing what was actually true, getting organized, and learning how to work together so money stopped being a private burden we each carried alone.
That experience reshaped how I see money and how I coach today. I don’t believe financial support should feel intimidating, shaming, or disconnected from real life. I believe it should feel grounding, supportive, and practical — something that helps you feel more capable and less alone.
Today, I help women build that same sense of clarity and agency with their money, so they can feel steadier in their decisions, more connected in their relationships, and less alone in the process.

This work is for women who are capable, thoughtful and responsible
— yet still feel unsettled when it comes to money.
You might relate if:
You feel overwhelmed or anxious when you think about your finances
You avoid looking closely because it feels emotionally charged
You manage the day-to-day but don’t feel clear or confident about the bigger picture
You’ve relied on a partner or professional and want to feel more informed and involved
You’re navigating a transition and want money to feel more supportive, not heavier
You don’t need to fit a certain income level or financial situation to be here. What matters is that you’re ready for money to feel less stressful and more workable.
Why I Get it and Care So Much
I care deeply about this work because I know what it feels like to carry money stress quietly.
I know what it’s like to be capable in so many areas of life and still feel unsure or ashamed when it comes to finances. I’ve seen how often women blame themselves for something they were never taught, supported in, or invited into.
Helping women feel more informed and confident with their money changes more than their bank accounts. It changes how they show up in conversations, relationships, and decisions. It brings relief, steadiness, and a sense of choice back into places where fear or avoidance used to live.
That’s why I do this work, and why I approach it with care, patience, and respect

THE GOAL OF MY WORK IS SIMPLE
I want every woman I work with to feel informed, supported, and able to participate fully in her financial life. Not pressured to make decisions before she’s ready. Not overwhelmed by information or expectations. But grounded in what’s true, clear on what matters, and confident enough to move forward in a way that fits her life.
I want money to stop being the place where fear, silence, or self-doubt live, and start becoming something women can engage with thoughtfully and openly. Whether we’re working together for one session or over many months, my goal is always the same: to help you feel capable, supported, and free to choose what comes next.
What I Bring to the Table

A CALM, GROUNDED APPROACH
I create space to slow things down and look at what’s actually happening. There’s no urgency or pressure here, just support and clarity at a pace that feels manageable.

REAL-LIFE FINANCIAL GUIDANCE
I help you work with your money as it exists in your real life, not an idealized version. Together, we focus on systems and decisions that fit your responsibilities, relationships, and capacity.

PARTNERSHIP, NOT PRESCRIPTION
I don’t tell you what you should do. I work alongside you to explore options, talk through decisions, and build a way forward that feels supportive and sustainable.

RESPECT FOR THE EMOTIONAL SIDE OF MONEY
Money is tied to emotions, history, and relationships. I help you understand those patterns so change feels possible instead of overwhelming.

I had been terrified to face our finances. It felt like opening a closet stuffed with debt, shame, and bad decisions. But Cathy made everything feel simple, possible, and safe. For the first time, I don’t feel judged — I feel hopeful.”
